Narragansett

I visited my friend Nata in January and we went here so I could get some sand for ScrpbkShannon from here on 43Places.

Narragansett is a beautiful little seaside town and I usually spend most of my summers there. The nicer resturants are a little on the pricey side and it costs money to sit on the beach for the day during the summer but it’s always worth it.

the three best parts of RI are providence, newport and narragansett. narragansett is beautiful. even though it’s pretty ritzy and all the most beautiful seaside areas are privately owned, the ocean, the rock formations, the fishing areas, the boating and surfing areas are breath-taking. the old architecture of old sea captain mansions is also breathtaking. some of the best looking houses i’ve ever seen. and now probably go for millions of dollars. it’s a good fancy place. nice for dinners for special occassions and night time walks on the beach. even a long rock wall along the ocean front. good to sit and take in the view or the night time breeze and the sweet and salty smells of the ocean. it’s a very romantic and peaceful place. especially in the end falls months, winter and early spring months. once summer hits, it’s crowded and every bit of that rock wall is taken over by beach bums. RI is a weird place. a lot of places not so nice. and nice people are few and far between. if you ever find yourself feeling uncomfortable, go to narragansett and give your discomforts to the ocean. she knows what to do with it :D
