Small Point Beach

I have never been one for crowds, neither is my family. Growing up, when we wanted to go to the beach, we would head to Phippsburg. Everyone on the road (including tourists) would turn left towards Popham Beach, my family would keep going straight to Small Point.

This beach is must less crowded, it is easier to find a parking space, and you can actually relax without fear of being trampled. There is also more to do at Small Point, aside from the obvious swimming in the ocean and sun bathing, there are also rocks that you can climb one and tide pools to explore. There is also a snack bar just off of the beach that serves burgers, fries, and ice cream. Small Point is connected to Hermit’s Island campground, so you can actually spend the night and fall asleep to the fog bells.

I have spent many summer days and evenings at Small Point, I would definitely recommend it to anyone :)
