Absolutely beautiful! We were only there overnight and it rained for most of that time. However a few hours before we were due to leave the sky cleared up and we were able to enjoy the pure white sands and bright blue, clear waters. The visit was made even better by the appearance of dolphins! I really want to go back!

It was a lovely sunny day when we visited Iona, which was an early centre of Christianity in Europe. Wandered among the ruins of a nunnery and sat basking in the sun in the medieval Abbey cloisters. The view back towards Mull was spectacular.

Iona’s not really like anywhere else. It’s amazingly peaceful. The beaches are fabulous.

You have to go there! by funzhaven

It really is one of the most special places ever. Beautiful and rugged. Steeped in history and energy. White sands and ever changing colours. A day trip is not enough.
