Cascades by vivacekate

I was absolutely amazed by the beauty of this park. The very rainy, wet conditions mean you should definitely bring an umbrella and prepare to be amazed by the plants and animals you see. I only took day hikes and hope to go back someday to see more.

Excellent hiking by Laurel Fan

I went backpacking there twice this summer, once out of Stehekin (see its 43Place for my entry) and once at Thunder Creek, on the Marblemount side. It’s a bit of a drive from Seattle, but it’s much less crowded than the closer in destinations, and the scenery is amazing and classic Northwest. Glaciated peaks, streams and rivers all over the place, deep forest and open meadows…
