North Cascades National Park

Ab-so-lutely.

The North Cascades! Rock and ice and trees.

This park is amazeing. I really enjoyed hiking their. Watch out for Bears and other animals they are everywhere. This is
real wilderness!

I went backpacking there twice this summer, once out of Stehekin (see its 43Place for my entry) and once at Thunder Creek, on the Marblemount side. It’s a bit of a drive from Seattle, but it’s much less crowded than the closer in destinations, and the scenery is amazing and classic Northwest. Glaciated peaks, streams and rivers all over the place, deep forest and open meadows…
