I climbed Mt. Ellinor in August, which is located in the Olympic Mountains which are on the Olympic Peninsula. It was my first day hike and it leaned more towards the strenuous side. The first portion of the hike is through the woods but then it turns into a more open trail. The scenery was absolutely beautiful with the some little mountains whose names I can’t recall and great views of Lake Cushman. We also saw a few mountain goats and some very friendly chipmunks.over 5 years ago

I was on funeral detail with the Army and one of the places we served at was on the Olympic Peninsula. We did the 21 gun salute while it was drizzling. This may sound odd, but the rain added to the solemnity of the funeral, to be very honest.
I felt extremely honored to be there and pay tribute to the life of the veteran who had passed. However, I would like to go back to the Olympic Peninsula again, and see what it has to offer.over 6 years ago
It’s beautiful. The rainforests, the ocean, the lakes, the mountains – everything is gorgeous. The Cape Flattery Trail (near Neah Bay) takes you to the tip of the state. Awesome views!!! Visit Lk Ozette, Sol Duc hot springs, Lk Quinault, Kalahoch, Hurricane Ridge and so much more.over 7 years ago
