Intel had put him up in some swanky high rise with a view of the ocean. He was out that weekend, and my wife and I slummed there. The Cornado Hotel, though pricey, was a great walk through over 6 years agoIf I have a hometown, it's Coronado by NedRaggettKeep in mind I grew up in a Navy family, so I was all over the place. But my dad worked mostly in the sub force, so since there’s a major base in San Diego, we mostly lived in Coronado, where my parents first lived before I was born. Kept coming back time and again over the years, to the point where my folks bought a house there, improving it a bit every time we came back. I’ve barely returned there since my folks moved away after dad retired, but my occasional visits since have always been a nice mix of distant memories and appreciation for what the place is like now.
