Parc Güell

It really is one of those things you have to see… we rented bikes to go around the city and it was a little difficult to get up there by bike (it was very steep). Stick around the crowded square to see all of the illegal vendors roll up their wares in 10 seconds flat as the police approach.

You know… I got lost in this park and was harassed by many strange Spanish men. That being said, I’d go back. Just don’t go off the beaten path unless you have a buddy or are really tough! Gaudi’s work is awesome, and you can see the whole city from the park. OH yeah… it’s A LOT of walking. Like. a lot.

If you loved La Sagrada Familia and La Pedrera, you will love this park! I’m not sure which part I liked the best – the long, snaking, bright mosaic seats on the main terrace or the columns supporting walkways which have been built to look like tree trunks.

This is so impressive, a must-see in Barcelona.
