A review of this place: Best Bar  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

One of the best in the city, best in the world.

One of the few bars left withOUT a television set. Thank god. It creates a warmer atmosphere.

Local bands come and jam. Friends get together and play dominos. Individuals come and read some books.

All this surrounded by interesting, but not overwhelming decor. Good and unique burgers laid on sourdough bread. And great beers and liquored drinks.

Definately my favorite spot in the city. Makes it easier when I live half a block away.

The bartender laughs at me  — 2 years ago

My best friend and I have been to two bells numerous times. We always annoy the bald-headed bartender. The Woodchuck cider is good but I purposely call it “beaver cider” and I think the bartender has OCD because he ALWAYS corrects me.

There is a pair of shoes that are glued to the top of the barback and I ask the bartender, everytime, if I can please “try on the red shoe” and he, ALWAYS says “no”. ;-)

Yes. Best burgers.  — 2 years ago

Though there’s some stiff competition, I declare these to be the best burgers in Seattle! I really like the one with bleu cheese and black pepper.

I used to go here for lunch all the time when I worked down on Westlake. The food is not your run-of-the-mill deep fried crappy bar food. The homemade soups, sandwiches and burgers are excellent. Plenty of choices for vegetarians too. Not a shabby wine collection either, as I recall.

I agree! The burgers at the Two Bells are amazing. Yum, it makes me want to go and get one right now. The bartenders are wonderful as well. My favorite Belltown spot by far.

This is one of the few remaining old school Belltown places. (RIP Sit & Spin) The burgers are great and they have Guinness on tap. That’s about all I need.

The Two Bells has some of the best. burgers. EVER. Hand-formed patties, served on french bread which has been slathered with garlicky mayo and mustard, comes with your choice of Tom’s chips, potato salad, soup or salad (I think, I can’t remember, boo). Get one to go and go straight down Bell to the observation deck over the Maritime museum, then eat it in the sunshine while watching the boats in the bay.
