Not worth visiting!
Not worth visiting but great to live in!
Lived here from 2001-2005 while at uni and can understand that tourists would have nothing to do but to live in i found it great loads of pubs to go to, not far from the countryside (just over the erskine bridge), good supermarkets, great taxi services, all night bus from paisely (linwood) to glasgow (first number 9) where you will meet the most exiting drunk/crazy characters that will sit near you and tell you their life story – youll feel like your in your own soap opera. The people are friendly and the takeouts are champion. But dont go if you want to see the sun more than 2 week in the year.

Paisley
Worth visiting!
I grew up here, but like everywhere, it's changed...
Paisley is a Historic old town, full of interest and Scottish interest. From it’s Majestic Abbey, burned down by the Vikings, to the old looms and balding lion with the slightly worrying glass eye (if it’s still there?) in the Museum, Paisley has a lot to offer. Like many other places however, it’s gone downhill quite dramatically – the old swimming pool (home of the Paisley Amatures – not pleasant training there when the boilers broke down!) has gone and is now a car park. Pubs, clubs and CHAVs rule the roost now, which is a great shame. Worth visiting, not living in any more, a real shame. I’m sure Thomas Coats is turning in his grave.

Farmers' Market, etc.
I had gone in last weekend, but forgot my camera so I went back to Paisley today to see the Abbey and the Farmers Market. Quaint. The lighting was better last weekend (bummer)—today the sky was bright so I dont’ think I was able to quite catch the beauty of the abbey. I’ll try again in a couple weeks, but in the meantime I’ve uploaded a couple photos.

Great museum about Paisley Shawls
Paisley is a small town near Glasgow where the famous Paisley pattern first was made in UK (really is patterns from India but since it was expensive to import they started to make it here). It is close to Glasgow and has some nice features. Still, it is quite an ordinary town. I lived there for a year 93-94.
