Thurso

Thurso is worth a short visit. There’s not a lot to do, but the bumpy bus ride to John O’ Groats past Dunnet Head is definately worth taking for it’s rural scenery. Thurso itself has little to offer, but there is a nice walking path along the shore and some small cliffs. Good if you want to head north for a sleepy little break.

I visited Thurso for installing some scientific equipment near Dounreay. It’s not far from John O’Groats, so I’ve been there also.

I went to Thurso for a long weekend as one of my good friends was getting married there. It is such a delightful little town. Granted, there isnt much to do, however, to spend a few days relaxing by the sea and the fresh air is all worth it.
