Brunswick Street

Go to The Vegie Bar, even if you’re not vegetarian. Good cheap big food, awesome atmosphere, nice people, great service (I worked there for a while :).

It helps that a friend of mine owns a shop just off Brunswick St, and his son runs the Rose Street Artists’ market—one of the best markets in Melbourne. Yeah, I’m biased—so shoot me. :P ;)

Brunswick Street is comprised of the most amazing mix of businesses and restaurants. Trendy, modern, bohemian and perverse, all along the one stretch of road.

If you want a choice of cuisine, this is the place to go. Thai, vegetarian, Greek, modern, Malaysian, Afghan, Japanese, Chinese, and fabulous pub food… and these are just the ones I can recall off the top of my head. Definitely worth visiting… I’ve done so time and time again, and will continue to do so.
