I live in a village very close to Leeds Castle. I’ve been there many times and never get bored. I enjoy exploring the grounds more than the castle itself, it is a very beautiful and peaceful place!

A review of this place: Leeds Castle...
Leeds Castle is a lovely castle with beautiful grounds. The tour itself was not so riveting as you do not get to see so much of the castle, but it is impressive.
The grounds though, and the outside of the castle is truly captivating.
Take your time strolling towards the castle and see the wide variety of exotic plants along the way. Then, stop and really take in how large and impressive that the castle really is and try to imagine living there.
Then, stroll the remainder of the grounds and the garden maze is very much worth the effort. Don’t worry about getting lost as help is available. The staff member was so friendly and informative and told us even more information about the maze garden.
We also very much enjoyed the falconry exhibition and again a very friendly staff member. He patiently answered our questions and told us all about the Birds of Prey that are kept at the Castle.
Leeds Castle is certainly worth at least one day visiting and would be fun for the entire family.

A rumor about this place
I heard that it is THE most beautiful castle in the UK. I’m not quite sure how they determined that, but anyone who has been there will not dispute it.

Pretty
I went there years ago and remember having a great day but don’t remember much specifically other than how pretty it was.

peacocks
i was very taken aback by the fact that it.. wasn’t in leeds. doh! it was very very pretty indeed, esp in the first blush of spring, with the daffodils everywhere.
we drove there from london in a cramped little mini, after spending 12 hours on a even more cramped bus down from edinburgh. i managed to love it all nonetheless.
the white peacocks were the coolest.
