Morro Bay

love it and will always want to go back. i want to live there!

I love Morro Bay. I take pictures there all the time. Lately it’s been over-run with tourists but once school starts up again it will go back to the usual calm, soothing atmosphere. My grandparents own a place on the beach, and I can’t think of any better place to retire to. My favorite restaurants are The Flying Dutchmen (the Harvest Chicken Salad is the best thing on earth with it’s honey curry dressing) and Tognazzinni’s (amazing fish and chips, but it’s hard to go wrong with anything here), and also Giovanni’s fish market is a must. I’m obsessed with the garlic bread.

You’re not allowed to climb the rock anymore, but my dad used to do it all the time when he was younger. If only… If only…

well ive lived here all my life, i think its a good place to call home. its beautiful, nice weather, except for the fog, lots of great places to go everywhere around it too like big sur, pismo beach, avila,cambria…ect. sunsets are beautiful. the only thing is theres not big shopping malls which i would prefer but u can go to san luis and santa maria for that. u can go on hikes, camping, surfing, cruising downtown shops, kayaking, laying out on the beach, tons of stuff.

... there’s not much going on here that’s worth making the trip for. There are many interesting and scenic beaches in Central California that are worth the drive. Better choices: Pismo Beach, Cambria/San Simeon, and Monterey.

I was last in Morro Bay for the Camp KEEP program (for students in Kern County). I was a counselor two years in a row a it was awesome. If you go, I reccomend going in winter and hiking through Montana de Oro.

If you love small coastal towns than morro bay has plenty to offer. Nice places to eat and stuff. However, i love so close to here a week doesnt go by that i dont stop by, and i must say that it never gets old.

There is alot of nature surrounding the Morro Bay area. Definitely worth a visit!

The beach is absolutely FREEZING in March/April (or at least it was when I went). It was so cold that I had to run back to the car in my father’s jacket.

The landscape would be nice if there weren’t a gigantic power plant ruining your view.

Beautiful place… been there 4 times. Morro Rock is fantastic. I will climb it one day

My husband and I made a trip to San Francisco and thought it a good idea to drive the 1 back to LA. I’m sure glad we did and I was impressed with Morro Bay. It is unlike any other coastal town in Cali.
