Fun times at the loft!

A great space that is both minimalist and inviting. The type of place that invites you to sit cross-legged, share a drink and meaningful conversation. I’m particularly fond of the three-level design of Erik’s place. The stairs go to the loft bedroom and also straight to the roof deck. I’ve only visited the roof deck in the winter — I can only imagine the benefit of a roof deck overlooking downtown Seattle and the Puget Sound during the summer months. I look forward to my next visit.

I bought the place last November, and love it. It’s all one big box, and it’s right by the highway, but it’s perfect for me: big window, wood floors, brick wall, big wall for projecting movies, and small enough that I don’t have to actually buy any furniture.

Also, its proximity to Pike Place Market has given me a great reason to wake up in the morning and walk to work. The smells of fresh fruit and flowers every morning has made me 10 times happier than I might otherwise have been.

Also, this is the first place I’ve owned, and even though I don’t think I’m going to live here much longer than 5 years (until my interest-only loan is over), it’s perfect for this time in my life.
