I just flew back from Japan, and the day we visited Mt Fuji, it was pretty cloudy. But when we got up there, the weather was clear and we got a perfect view of Fuji. And the most surprising thing is, there was snow in Spring!

Climbing Mount Fuji is a great experience… tiring and long, but one of those things you’ll never regret. The view from the top is amazing, so you gotta do the night climb. The crater is absolutely massive and quite humbling. Definately do it if you have the ability.

Just keep some energies for coming down!

The sandy&rockie soil will run behind your boots.

Can be a bit tiring, but the sunrise is amazing! Please be at the top by that moment!

Climbing by Andrea291

I did this in 2000, and I have to say that it was one of the coolest things I have ever done. We started at station 5!( which I guess is where most people start). It was more challenging than I expected. I re-enlisted in the Navy for 4 more years when I got to the top. The funnest part was “skiing” back down with my stick! I watched so many of my friends fall and break theirs hahaha!

“I'm going with my husband and my children to Mt. Fuji area. I don't harbor illusions that we are going to make it to the summit. Rather, we'd just like to do a day hike. Should we hike for a bit along the trail to the summit or do something else?” over 5 years ago
