A review of this place

Great state park with a wonderful spring fed pool! It’s a great weekend getaway. The road trip there is scenic and beautiful. Very relaxing.

The park is worth visiting.

I lived here from 1989 to 1994 and i wished i could have killed myself.
As a traveler i will tell you that because i lived there i know how people are in that town. People who’s cars break down dont have alot of choices when it comes to a mechanic. The one in town will RIP YOU OFF.He charges so much that nobody can pay it. So he did it to this young guy.Said ok ill trade you a bus ticket for your car.It was a new car at the time. And bc this poor guy didnt know anybody at the time he took it so he could get home.

the better way to visit this place is to go through to the state park and go to Ft. Davis. Alpine…onward from there. Dont visit the town. Your not going to see much.I promise you.

My mother moved us here from Europe.I had lived over there for 12 years.I loved it.Then my mom gets this idea to move out to beautiful west texas. The landscape is amazing. The people are assholes.Closeminded idiots with a taste of cruelty thrown in for fun. I was an outsider and believe it or not they treated me like shit because i wasnt related to any of them (thank god) i wasnt catholic, i wasnt some demure little girl,i wasnt hispanic and bc i didnt speak spanish it made my life hell.Bc when you dont speak a language people who are small minded idiots tend to use it around you and you become the joke.
