Worth visiting!
Worth visiting!
I had standing ‘seats’ for As You Like It and it rained the whole time, but it was great (and cheap)! If you get there early enough (we were about 25 minutes early) you can rush in and grab a spot next to the stage to lean on. I did a tour of it as well on a separate day, and that was cool, but the guide just led us into the theatre where we sat down and listened to him tell interesting facts.

People in pyjamas
Went to see Cymbelline there and it was totally naff. We left halfway through. They all wore the same white pyjama outfits and ballet shoes. A friend suggested that I try again with a play that I know. Hmm, maybe.

Why I want to go to this place
I’ve lived in London my whole life.
It’s a bit shameful that I’ve never been, really.
But I suppose that’s the same everywhere.
People never tend to go and see things that are within easy travelling distance.
They’d rather go to Florida or something :)

Why I recommend this place to visitors
If you’re a huge Shakespeare fan like I am then I highly suggest you visit it! I went on the guided tour which was onlye 9quid (roughly 18 american), but it was totally worth it. That night I also saw the Twelfth Night there for a few quid. You only get that good of a deal though if you’re a groundling-meaning you have to stand the whole time. It was still fun though!
