'Rustic' Cooking courses in Gokpinar-Bodrum-Turkey by simplyli

I discovered a weekly program of cooking classes a while back that seemed interesting and that I have kept in mind. The cost is close to $1,100 US. The food looks yummy, all meals and accommodation, as well as other things (airport transfers, local visits, etc.) for 8 days/7 nights, are included in your stay. One thing is certain – I could definitely benefit from learning to cook! I also just discovered it was recommended by Lonely Planet.

There is a shorter term available as well, for 4 days/3 nights, priced at about $650 USD.

You will feel more calm and serene that you have ever felt in your entire life if you know where to go in this city.

Actually venture a little out of the city as, yes, it is overloaded with tourists. If you are looking just to go and lay on the beach, stay in town, if not, venture.

The locals spice up the city with their rich culture, heritage, and need to get away from the larger cities of turkiye.

Outside the hustle and bustle of small town life, there is a world i never imagined. The most beautiful sunsets, the clearest waters, the most amazing people, unforgettable food, the best adventures, you name it.

Don’t be pulled into the tourist trap if you desire something more…

Not what it once was, but do not let that stop you..

Though overrun with oiky tourists these days, Bodrum is shrouded in history, and there is much to see along those lines..

Bodrum Castle is impressive..

I feel it’s lost some of it’s splendour over the past few years, and though there are Gulets galore, i recommend Bodrum for the young at heart..

The nightlife is cracking.. laser show at the Halicarnassus Nightclub was an unforgettable experience..

For those of you not interested in that kind of thing, it is more than possible to get lost in the Turkish way of life here, but you’ll have to tuck yourself away from what has become an extremely popular destination.

Try other more remote, undiscovered parts first. :)

Super, nice sailing too by leapyearbaby

Great windsurfing and sailing around here. I sailed to Port Bodrum, which was soooo flipping amazing for a port place, they are usually really crap but it was better than a five star hotel!! Went to the islands around Bodrum too, some really remote and super beautiful.
