West Edmonton Mall

The last time I went here I was pretty young but I remember it being really fun. I’d love to go again with my boyfriend who hasn’t gone here!

Sometime in ‘88. When I get there in a couple of weeks, I’ll take some photos or something. Can’t wait!

I’ve been to Edmonton about a dozen times in my life, maybe even more. It is such an experience. Everytime my family goes, it’s out tradition to play mini-golf and it’s always so much fun. The waterpark is the most amazing thing about it and it is something everyone can enjoy. Plus, they have amazing selection of stores. There was a cd I actually spent 2 years trying to find, it was a christmas cd, and I finally found it at Hmv in West Ed, so happy. Listened to it the entire 3 hour drive home, even though it was October.

AMAZING!

If you think Mall of Aermica is big .. wait till you see this. I went here first .. and then went to Mall of America. Mall of America is nothing compared to this mall.

I so want to go again.

Nice to see, good place to take visitors. I live about half an hour away, but after being there a couple of times I have no real desire to go on a regular basis. If malls and people watching are your thing you’d probably love this place. =)

I’ve been there after closing time (there are bars there so the main part of the mall is open late at night after the stores are closed) and that’s pretty neat. It’s weird walking through a normally very busy place when there’s noone else around.

Big time shopping, cute seals, though I’m sure the funland or galaxyworld stuff is more fun if you’re a kid. :)

Alberta on a whole is amazing beautiful place. The mountains, foothills, glaciers, etc…

The West Edmonton Mall is something else. I think it’s pretty cool that you can go from skating on ice to body surfing on fairly large waves without having to go out doors. I spend just over 2 hours scuba diving around a pirate’s ship and getting stared down by dolphins that were separated from the main pool by a glass wall which you can’t really see underwater.

Nothing particularly interesting about it except that it’s big.

A constant barrage of new shops, kids with with nothing to do, and enough consumerism to make a Marxist perish in mere moments. This is the epitome of capitalism and consumerism, an endless dance distracting man from the Gaia around them, under their feet, and stretching endlessly above them.

Prepare your whole day at the mall. It took us 3 hours just to walk around 90% of the mall without actually doing anything. Don’t forget to check out the flamingos =)
