Minot

i marked minot as worth visiting… but im completely biased. the town itself is nothing special… just your average american metropolitan area… except for the fact that it hits inhumanely arctic temperatures in the winter. the reason i went to minot was that my fiance… now husband… is stationed there at the air force base. we got married in the minot court house and that was the first time i had seen him in about 5 months. so in my own little world, it was definitely worth it. after i finish my degree this spring i will then be moving to minot… i might change my mind then.

I took the Empire Builder across North Dakota, and I was so glad to get out here and stretch my legs. It would have been a shame to spend almost a whole day here and never actually touch the soil…

Only because I met my best friends there. If I had to do it again, knowing that it would be the only way to have met my best friends. I would suffer through it again. Otherwise, it was a horrible small town.

This is a great place to settle down, i mean REALLY SETTLE DOWN, there is nothing to do…...so if you want to settle down 6 feet under by all means move here

Minot is only about 4 hours from home in Saskatchewan Canada. Spent the weekend there to do some shopping. Neat to be able to get all the american stuff (clothes, alcohol, food) just a few hours from home. Kinda a boring city and I found it difficult to get around by car.

funny thing is that i moved from Japan to Minot, North Dakota. Talk about culture shock.

There isn’t anything to do there besides shop, party, and drink. Well, maybe that isn’t such a bad place to be. It’s an extremely boring drive to get there!

I was stationed in Minot, ND from 1971 to 1974, while serving in the US Air Force. Not much to do there.

My relatives live in Southern Manitoba so we went to Minot for the day to go to the mall. It was alright, and we went shopping and got some fun stuff to bring back. Minot itself is the stereotype of the “American City” with flags, flags everywhere (And this was pre 9/11). Very cute, but I wouldn’t stay for too long.
