The place is not always the people  — 5 months ago

    Worth visiting!

This is my numero uno European city. My husband and I adored visiting Paris 15 years ago, despite the unfriendly people. We stayed on the Rive’ Gauche in a modestly priced hotel on St. Germaine with french doors leading to a tiny porch offering spectacular views including the Pantheon. We walked everyhere then caught the Metro when our feet would not carry us further. We preferred smaller museums to the Louve; but to see Venus DeMilo, Diana, Whistler’s Mother, is a must! Food was wonderful and outrageously expensive; served by hauty, unhelpful waiters. Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower and so much more…

My Hometown  — 11 months ago

    Worth visiting!

I love Paris, Texas because for one thing it’s my hometown. I loved it because unlike where I am now the people there are like super friendly, you can walk down the street and say “hi” to someone and they will smile and say hi right back. It’s small but I wouldn’t change the size of it at all. I have friends, family, and memories there. And like the songs says, “All my ex’s live in Texas”.

    Worth visiting!

I went there for my good friend’s wedding a few months ago. It was fantastic. The town isn’t much to write home about, but, man, can those Ethiopians party!

Wish I could have stayed for longer than 3 days, and I wish I could have brought my husband (then boyfriend) at the time. Very romantic city!

The last time I went to this place  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

I don’t know if anyone looked closely before saying “I’ve been here” or “I want to go here” but this is for a small city northeast of Dallas whose most popular attractions are a scaled down Eifel Tower and a gravestone statue of Jesus wearing a cowboy boot. Most of you seem to think this is for the city of love and art and such located in France. the heading at the top of this page says United States > Texas > Paris in case you don’t believe me.

The hidden places...  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

I have been to Paris and it is wonderful but the places to go is the towns and villa around Paris. But if you are in Paris, the Louvre will take a week at least and Notre Dame is beautiful from the boats point of view.

    neat...but dirty  — 2 years ago

    Not worth it!

it was a great place to visit the musems and all og the culture but, watch out for cars they don’t belive in traffic laws, you can’t cross the street with out being with a pack of nuns. Walk the stirs to the 1st level of the effel tower it’s way better than taking the elevator!

Not what I expected, but it is still Paris  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

Dirtier than expected, locals were not very tolerant with Americans who couldn’t speak French, but still worth experiencing!
