A review of this place
Excellent Mexican food… I love “hole in the wall” type places, with a lot of character, and above all – great food. This place fits the bill. Their food is always tastey, the people friendly, and the atmosphere with the worn down folding chairs & card tables makes it all feel cozy. My favorite is probably the Chile Relleno… though I haven’t had a bad dish there yet. The choices of salsa are also very tastey… I recommend the milder / chunky salsa.

I ate at El Puerco Lloron something like fifteen or twenty years ago.
That should tell you something about the place.

The Crying Pig
I have to agree with Carrick on this one—a great Mexican joint that’s authentic enough to make it more than worth the visit. It’s got an honest air about it.

Authentico, mostly
Full disclosure: the owner is a very good friend. But how can you pass up cheap, authentic (mostly), Mexican grub served cafeteria style just a few steps down from Pike Place Market and a few steps up from the waterfront? They serve beer in bottles, and someday, maybe, liquor. The tortillas are awesome. I recommend the fish tacos.
