Great film. I had one of those “aha” moments. It was a distinctly Seattle moment when the cloudy light of summer was sneaking in the window of the men’s bathroom, landing on this ratty old grandma chair with disintegrating upholstery. Crazy Seattle people and their love of movies in ancient theaters. But how pretty was that chair? Pretty pretty, I say. over 4 years agoI remember... by Ursula Haighthe first film I viewed here in 197o something. “The Apple Wars”. A funny flick about “Deutchnyland”! I loved that I could buy just a couple of pieces of penny licorice instead of those big bags of licorice! over 4 years agoFilm and ephemera by OmriThere’s a ghost in the upper floor. It haunts the pale silken movie screen. At least, that’s what they tell me. I tend to sit in the balcony of the downstairs theater, far from any stray ectoplasm. over 6 years agoA great historic movie theater by Daniel SpilsI love this place. It is quintessential Seattle in many ways … off the beaten path, shows independent films, no better place from which to walk in or out of the rain. over 6 years ago |
