Oregon Museum Of Science And Industry aka: OMSI

I loved this place when I was in elementary school, but when I returned in college it just wasn’t the same. It was way crowded with little kids and there wasn’t a whole lot for me to do. Maybe I just went at the wrong time.
Boat rides are always worth it though!

I had high hopes for OMSI, unfortunately it didn’t live up to my expectations. The museum itself is surprisingly small, and there aren’t that many exhibits.

Sorry, OMSI is outclassed by great museums such as the Ontario Science Center in Toronto, the Field Museum and Museum of Science & Industry in Chicago, and of course the Smithsonian museums in D.C.

Even with small children, it’s unlikely you could fill a day with what’s available here.

Check out the USS Blueback Submarine , but skip the museum itself.

One word; IMAX

before omsi moved and it was zoo/omsi/forestry center i loved this place… i have yet to visit the new one (since i moved away) do you remember at the old omsi…

the heart you could walk through
the fake weather forcasting newsroom where you could watch yourself on video
the beehive you could walk in
the fusilage of that old plane that was kindof outside?
the exibits… dinosaurs… superheros…
that pinball rollercoaster (i think they moved it to timberline lodge- i saw it or one similar there)
lots more anyone have others i forgot?

i miss this place lol
