Sepilok

that’s what sepilok’s about. orphaned or displaced young orang utans are placed in this sanctuary. they’re free to roam about in the jungle. heh, but they sure do know when feeding time is (10 a.m.!) and they come swinging along for their bananas and milk right on the dot!

worth paying a visit if you are in the vicinity. :)

If you visit Sabah on Borneo, a visit to this Orangutan rehabilitation center is a must. We also stayed at Uncle Tan’s Jungle camp.. a backpackers place to a definite jungle camp with no perks or electricity for that matter… lots of boar and monkeys around.. very cool
