The fall colors are beautiful, but I wouldn’t suggest staying for a long time.

Hi I use to go and visit my dad in the summer’s of the early 70’s. And what a awesome place he had on Lake Mohawk. I loved it there. I was lucky enough to still have a life long friend and her family that still live’s in the same house. The Menza’s. Sure had alot of fun back those day’s. I miss my dad’s house which was a few door’s back up the street. My dad was Robert (bob) Metcalfe, unfortunatly he passed away July 7th 1999.. He told me when he was home on hospice care that he wished he never sold the house, my dad and Mr Menza;s houses were the only 2 that were paid for. Go figure, i told him i’d be living in that house if he still had it. Anyway’s i just wanted to say I loved it there and hopefully someone day go back and hang out with Jackie..

New Jersey is a beautiful state, and there’s nothing in california quite like the trees there, and sparta, especially lake mohawk, is a great place to visit. i would not recommend living there, unless you’re used to wealthy uptight small-town people and enjoy having nothing to do. Definitely worth a visit because of its beauty, and anything beautiful is worth seeing, but not worth an extended stay, trust me.
