I always stay at Showboat b/c I LOVE the Mardi Gras theme AND the authentic Southern/Louisiana cuisine at one of the hotel’s restaurants. Love strolling and taking in the scenery on the boardwalk and of course I LOVELOVELOVE the shopping at the mall and on “The Walk”. Perfect. over 2 years agoHad fun! by AyleeshaWe stayed in one of the cheaper hotels that was close to the boardwalk. Went there with my cousin and my aunt this past Late April/Early May (about 5 days). Loved the boardwalk… one of the best places I have visited. Bought lots of stuff. Went to a few of the casinos but didn’t play much – not my thing. Ate at a Hard Rock Cafe – had never eated there before, even though we have one (or more maybe, I don’t know) at home, and ate, I think at a Bally’s too. over 2 years agoSkip it by AnabaenaJust got back from a trip to NY and took a side trip to Atlantic City while I was there. I guess it was alright, but definitely not worth the trip. The crowd was mostly older, the casinos don’t have the over-the-top glamour that Vegas casinos do, drinks are expensive, and there’s not much else to do than gamble. If you’re into gambling it might be worth going, but if gambling all night long isn’t your thing I’d recommend paying a little extra to go to Vegas. over 3 years agoSee all 90 entries |
