Great People, Great Place, Great Music
I’ve volunteered at the station during a number of their pledge drives and once got a chance to play a show in the new studio space during Audioasis (their live showcase of local bands). Every time I’ve been there, the KEXP employees I’ve met have been great, and I’ve gotten a tangible sense while talking with them that they understand the importance and coolness of what they’re doing. Lucky for us that the former tenant (a commercial station playing standard-format classic rock) moved out and KEXP was able to escape the UW campus and repurpose this fully-realized studio space. That move coupled with their proliferation on the internet has had them firing on all cylinders ever since.

A great radio station
I’ve been to plenty of College and non-commerical radio stations across the country. KEXP stands out as one of the best around. Not only for it’s choice of music, but it’s connection to and promotion of bands. God bless ‘em!
