We went in the winter when the shuttles are not running and you can drive your car up the main road. It was uncrowded and a great way to see the park. Red rock roads, massive canyons…. the white snow with the red rock was a gorgeous contrast. The trails are relatively easy to hike (though slippery in the winter) but you can literally go for hours without seeing anyone else. over 3 years agoVisited Oct 08 by InnaStrWe visited Zion National park in late Oct 08. Although not required, I recommend staying at Zion Lodge. Views from the suite are amazing. Trails for hiking start right from the entraince to the lodge; shuttles are convinient but get too crowded. We have not used a car which was parked all the time; added more time to hiking and wondering around. over 4 years agoUntitled by yellowquartzIt is so beautiful!!!
