Marisma Fish Taco

I used to live in Vallarta, not far from this amazing taco stand. Of all the wonderful and amazing things that Vallarta offers that might draw me back, Marisma Fish Tacos is at the very VERY top of that list. Marisma’s tacos are the best anywhere in the world. It’s totally worth getting off the beaten path to find this place.

Marisma Fish Taco is reputed to be the cleanest and best run taco stand in all of Vallarta. They scrub it every day from top to bottom, plus they have a house and another kitchen so everything is 100% fresh all the time.

It is not a fancy place. You either sit at the counter at a little stand on the street, or on chairs behind the stand on the sidewalk. The tacos are 13 pesos, and the quesadillas are 18 pesos. We had the smoked marlin (a local specialty) quesadillas, the fried fish tacos, the shrimp quesadillas, and the fried squid tacos, and soft drinks. We had several rounds of tacos and quesadillas. Everything was uniformly delicious.
