The Chocolate Bar

I love chocolate. I am not partial to hot chocolate, though. I can take it or leave it. As Johnny Depp would say, “It’s not my favorite.” But the hot chocolate at the Chocolate Bar could influence me to change my mind about that. I only had a shot, but that is just as well; this is the most decadent hot chocolate I have ever had in my life and drinking a whole cup might well make me fall out on the floor from the rush of endorphins flooding my brain. And that’s only the beginning. You could have an orgy here of all things chocolate—truffles, candies, and cakes for which it is almost obscene to use the word cake, they are so exquisitely crafted and lucious.

Great if you’re a chocoholic. Not-so-great if your dining companions drag you here and you’re just not in the mood for chocolate (ridiculous, I know) and are looking for another option.

I’ll be honest, my mouth is watering at just the mere thought of this place. Cakes, ice cream and just about any type of chocolate confection you can imagine—how can you not love this place? My absolute favorite item from the Chocolate Bar is the caramel-coated, chocolate-dipped pretzel rods. I’ve never had anything so delicious (or addicting)!

What’s NOT to like about this place? They have chocolate of every size and shape you can imagine. Chocolates in every variety, ice cream, decadent chocolate layer cake that is at least a foot tall, cookies, pies, you name it, they have it! It gets kind of crowded in the evening, and parking is almost non-existent (park on the side streets, wherever you can find it!) but it’s totally worth the trip!
