Bill is living large in Washington DC
Washington, D.C.
Worth visiting!
and I remember that they had lead dust everywhere. I was only on site for about 3 or 4 weeks, making $5/hour (four times the minimum wage at that time, so equivalent to $20+ an hour now… hey, wait.. that’s what I earn now…. wait a minute, why did I go to college?) oh back to the story, lead dust. everywhere.
The factory closed in the early 1980’s and was sold to “Magic Marker” which made (I presume) those marker pens that smell soooo ooooo good. Now it’s closed, the buildings torn down, and it’s a toxic waste site.
Mustard seeds are planted to draw the lead out of the soil. Supposedly.
