A review of this place: Attention Houston: There is no need to go to Starbucks ever again.
“Can I get a white chocolate mocha?”
“Yup.”
“Do you have raspberry syrup?”
“Sure do.”
“And can I get piece of chocolate fudge cake?”
“Sure. It’s on sale, too! Half off.”
So I get rung up and after I pay…
“Hey do you want whipped cream on the cake?”
“YES! You guys are amazing.”
And they are. Great service, great coffee, lots of seating – they even have a patio. Not to mention there’s local art for sale on the walls, a big screen plasma TV, a giant leather couch, and one of their employees has two pictures in the HIWI book.
This is my new favorite coffee place. The Press was dead-on.

Why I want to go to this place
Hey, remember that really cool vortex house that used to be on Montrose not too long ago?
Well, it’s gone now, but a coffee shop sprung up in its place and despite having been around less than a year, it won Best New Coffee Shop in the Houston Press’ Best of Houston 2007.
From the Press: Inversion has all the pleasantries of Starbucks…as well as its own flair. It shares space with Art League Houston, and owner Michael Terrazas welcomes local artists on his walls.
