A Great Deal

One really nice thing about the funicular (in addition to avoiding all of those steps) is that if you purchase a day pass on the Metro, the funicular is included.

There isn’t a Metro stop right at the funicular, but the nearest Metro stop is a fairly pleasant walk of only a few blocks.

Worth visiting!

We rode the Funicular up to Sacre Coeur..

since our daughter was still recovering from knee surgery.
It was a nice, scenic but short ride that saved quite a few steps for her! In this Wikipedia reference it states that the funicular is a railway! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funiculaire_de_Montmartre
