Anniversary of relationship past.  — 4 months ago

    Worth visiting!

He worked in the Quizno’s there, and we both had a penchant for sushi. He found the local florist and got me 13 long stemmed roses, which were beautiful, we went to dinner at Moshi Moshi, one of the best little sushi places I’ve been to, and then we went to a few of the store, some in Thorne’s, the best little bead store I’ve been in in some time, and then we got ice cream at Harrel’s. If nothing more, when your in NoHo, you have to get the ice cream at Harrel’s, and they have sorbet and stuff too. Super home made type stuff…so good.

Though I’m a bit embittered from the relationship, the stuff that I’ve learned about that town and how comfortable I got there is unforgettable.

This a great place to go, especially if you live in a wack city like Springfield. It remind me of the Village in NYC, it’s the closest thing I have to the city I love.

Been to Divas with my Lesbian friend, The Iron Horse for Salsa, Smith College and didn’t get laid =C, try to get a job at Cingular, been a few dates. Makes you don’t want to go back to Springfield after you visit.

It’s a cutesy New England college town. Really pretty in the fall.

Back to Noho this summer!  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

I’ve lived here for the past two summers and will live here again this coming summer. This summer, I hope to have time to explore a bit more. It’s a beautiful area, with wild life reserves and bike paths leading to the surrounding towns.

A tip I have about this place  — 1 year ago

Go find Basha and ask him to play his flute for you. This is a scavenger hunt, and you’ll know him when you meet him. Just keep an eye out for a rug shop that draws you in.

I hope it’s still there. He was so otherwordly, it was awesome.

How this place changed my life  — 1 year ago

You will never run out of new places to explore. I lived here on and off for 4.5 years and am still learning things about it. Northampton is in a perfect location for the best arts, culture, cuisine, and nature in New England.

A review of this place: Cute and cozy college town  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

I lived in Northampton and Amherst for a few years. Western Mass is really gorgeous. It’s breathtaking beautiful. Northampton is a very sweet quaint little town, but during the school year, you’ll find lots of college kids. It’s centrally located between Boston and New York if you ever want to get out of town. I enjoyed my time there, but I was ready to move on. I got tired of the college kids, and the food there was never that great despite all the hype about the many restaurants. I do love Thornes market. It’s a darling place. And I’ll always love Joe’s pizza, which is the best pizza joint ever. As you may know, Northampton is a big women’s town. It’s a great place for lesbians, but not a lot of gay men there. Cost of living in Northampton is getting too expensive for what it is. I’ve seen one bedrooms up around $1,000 and that’s too much for a small town. Also, seems like there’s a lot of crazies sitting on the sidewalks in the middle of town, and lots of pan-handling young kids that look like they’re homeless. I got tired of that. Anyhow, for a college town, you can’t ask for anything more, but personally I prefer a big city.
