Acadia Cinema

It’s rather refreshing to go see a movie that doesn’t have 20 minutes of commercials before it starts, and is actually a movie that makes you think! The movies shown at the Acadia Cinema are often from international film festivals, or independent films. They are critical, sometimes cynical, sometimes controversial, and always significant!

One of the great places in Wolfville is the Acadia Cinema, which is a movie theatre that was recently renovated by a cooperative. In the lobby is a cafe that serves Fair Trade coffee. I love going to films, drinking coffee and being able to walk to see a movie. Much better than a DVD at home.
