Giorgio's Ristorante & Meze Bar

My friend Frank and I sat in the bar and shared a drink and some saganaki. I asked the chef who flamed the saganaki to shout “Opa!” but he declined. Frank had never tried saganaki and I am ALWAYS glad to be the one to introduce someone to the concept of cheese soaked in brandy them flamed.

Frank went traditional and tried the veal parm while I had short ribs wrapped in filo on creamed spinach. Both were tasty.

The funniest thing is that we planned to meet at 6 and even discussed directions. He had been there before. I was EARLY and ordered a glass of wine while I read Bon Appetit and waited. At 6:30 I was going to order an app and realized the menu was different than online which is when I realized I was at the WRONG PLACE

Luckily Frank was sitting at the bar in the right place and had a beer. Plues he is pretty laid back so although he did tease me like crazy, I knew he was not an angry as I certainly would have been. I should take a lesson!
