Worth visiting!
This theater is very good and has much better facilities than the old National Theater in my opinion.
Apart from a wide selection of plays it also hosts the highly recommendable Icelandic Dance Company. It also hosts a variety of other events, for example in connection to the annual Reykjavík Arts Festival. Which is also highly recommendable. I have many good memories of the various arts performed on these stages.
Outside the stages there is a great hall which has a bar on one end, a sweets counter on the other and a seating area including sofas. General layout good and everything is easily accessible.
One thing that is somewhat surprising is that there is no protected coat hanger and that as far as I can recall only hooks are provided for coats. It may therefore be advisable to not bring too precious a coat lest it get damaged on the hooks.
