Field Memorial Library

This is the largest building in town. It seems completely out of its element at the head of the Conway common. I have been traveling and when I told folks who had been here that I grew up here the first question is always, “What’s with the library?” The library was built by Marshall Field after he had made his fortune with Field’s Department Stores. It was a monument he dedicated to his parents. He was born in Conway, MA.
