A review of this place

spanning 2,200 acres this is the largest and least fragmented and developed remaining glacial sandplain in the watershed featuring inland pitch pine/scrub oak plant community with at least 10 rare plant and invertebrate species. A wetland within the sandplain is habitat for the endangered northeastern bulrush and forest habitat for migrant landbirds.
