If you are a dog person, note that there are no trash cans for poopy. And if you are walking, I’d recommend shoes because the trails, though excellently maintained, are gravel and junk gets in your sandals.

Oh, and you can get to one trailhead at the Visitor’s Center off of 34th Ave, off 494. Follow the signs. I suppose there are other accesses, too.
