Stockholm Restaurant And Catering

This is not a place I would ever have gone to on my own. The tables are set very formally, there are flower-painted tea pots and delicate tea cups everywhere (which is just not my style – I’m a sturdy-cup-of-strong-coffee girl), and the whole atmosphere is rather stiff. Also it’s a bit out of my price range (I’m a poor college student) at between $12 and $15 a meal, although that does include scones or bread, soup, tea or coffee, and dessert.

It turned out to be an awesome meal. It was very slow paced, exactly the way a tea shop ought to be, so there was plenty of time for good conversation. The food was perfect and prepared all from scratch (during dessert we heard the whipped cream being whipped), and absolutely delicious.

The dessert was probably the best part – we tried something different each, from a raspberry and chocolate cake treacle to a chocolate cake with lemon curd to an intriguing combination of champagne, sorbet, and whipped cream.

The whole meal was an experience in itself. I highly recommend it.
