Elysian Brewing Company aka: The Elysian

A great place to hang out with friends, food and a brew!

Their seasonal pumpkin beer runs out frickin fast. Apparently this season it’s been killed before 6pm every day they’ve had it.

My husband and I lived about a block and a half away from Elysian, and it was always a great place to run down to and grab a beer (the porter is good on drizzly days). I also loved their vegan tacos (do they still have those?) and the fish and chips. Yum. I miss that place.

This is another Seattle microbrew, and on the way to the Robot-Coop office from Daniel Spils’s house. I missed the meet Carrick party back in 2005, and ever since then, I’ve wanted to go.

I did walk by it a bunch of times.

They serve Bangers and mash! Darn good food

this is a good place to chill and have a few drinks with friends. Price isn’t up there so it’s pretty good.

A place where you can actually hear people speak.

Very chill. I like it. :D

They have an eggplant parmesian sandwich to die for. Plus, salsa that actually has a kick to it. Wash it all down with a great IPA and you’ll know why this is my favorite place to take people.

But damn, it was good. Call me a simple person when it comes to the appeal of brewed-on-site beer and hearty food. (I mean, trust me, mostly I’m eating my salads and being vaguely healthy and all, but I refuse not to indulge at certain opportunities!)

Last night was the 12th anniversary of the Elysian. They were giving out pints for $1. Mark your calendars for next year.
