baduy as it was my friends and i decided to see the movie “for the first time” just to see the pretty kc concepcion on the silver screen as this was her first film. i cannot recall the film but i can recall how nice santorini is! since then and there i wanted to go to santorini! i dont know when il be able to visit santorini but i wish i could spend it with my dear friends too who all wishes to go to santorini!
Santorini is a beautiful and peaceful island. I stayed at the campground which was very inexpensive and right on the beach. Don’t come here if you’re on a tight schedule. My experience here was exactly what I wanted in a Greek Island getaway vacation, and more. The water is clear & beautiful, the weather is lovely, the black sand beaches are awesome!
Definitely take a boat ride out to the volcano hot springs! I did a tour that involved a hike on one of the volcanic islands and then a trip to the hot springs. The hot springs is like a little cove right on the edge of the island; there wasn’t a dock nearby so they stopped offshore and you had to swim about 50 yards into the cove, where the water changed from blue to red (from lots of little iron oxide particles.) Some people dived right off the boat, but I used the ladder they put down into the water. Lots of fun!
“I have never been to Greece and am hoping to go in February. I would like to know what is the best time of year, and are the places hotels kid friendly?”

“I'm going here soon and I'm wondering what to do, see and eat. (Do they have vegetarian dishes?) And can anybody recommend great shops? (for anything worth taking home, really!) =D”

Introduction to Santoriniby FROMMER'SNovember 20, 2006 Especially if you arrive by sea, you won't confuse Santorini with any of the other Cyclades. What will confuse you is that the island is also known as Thira. While large ships to Santorini (pop. 7,000) dock at the port of Athinios, many small ships arrive in Skala, a spectacular harbor that's part of the enormous caldera (crater) formed around 1450 B.C. when a volcano blew out the island's center. To this day, some scholars speculate that this destruction gave birth to the myth of the lost continent of Atlantis. In short, this is physically one of the most spectacular islands in the world. Santorini's cliff-faced crescent isle graces tourist brochures and posters in Greek restaurants the world over. Many Greeks joke, somewhat begrudgingly, that there are foreigners who know where Santorini is -- but not where Greece is! (read article)
