McDonald Lake is the largest lake in Glacier National Park. It is approximately 16 km long 1.6 km wide and 427 feet deep. Formed by the combination of glacial & erosion activity. The surface area of the lake is 6,823 acres.

Had one of the best nights in glacier right on the shore of this lake. Drinking wine with 3 friends and skipping rock into lake as the sun went down. Epic.
