The people who say “there’s not much else to see besides the Amish” are completely wrong. There’s the Tanger Outlets and various other large outlet shopping malls. The restaurants in Lancaster are homey and great. There’s MANY sale barns and actions and sales because 1) the Amish need to make money too! and 2) many people in Lancaster sell their items in these large sales. Lots of interesting things I’ve never seen before have been sold at the Stoudts Black Angus Antiques Mall. That Antique Mall has over 500 dealers! It is very extensive, big and impressive. Along with that, there are many farmer’s markets. Lots of fresh, beautiful produce comes from Lancaster! I bought my Halloween pumpkins from a well-known shop in Lancaster. I recommend Lancaster County because of it’s shops, malls, the amish, and the relaxing country side and beautiful landscape of this marvelous county.
