Lava Lounge

OK, maybe I’m biased because I used to DJ there on a semi-regular basis (and I need to get my ass in gear in order to give these guys some mixes or something, or at least visit when I’m not anchored at the office day and night), but come on… I really can’t imagine a better place to have a beer… especially in the summer outside.

My friends love this place, but I’m not a fan. Too crowded and smokey.

With a great staff and high-quality DJs from a different genre every night, this is one of my favorite Seattle watering holes. It’s best avoided on weekend nights when the Belltown meat-market crowd invades the place. But during the week or before a show at the Crocodile, it’s a standy.
