The first time I went to this place
I saw The Darjeeling Limited here with my father. I can’t explain how cool it was to see a Wes Anderson film in the place he grew up watching movies that now influence him.

So Long Ago
My first date with one of my long-standing beaus in high school was at this theater. We went to see a Marx Brothers film. And, no, it was NOT a new release at the time. It was vintage even then, but what made the date memorable was that the movie was from the 1930s, the pick-up truck we rode in was from the 1930s, and the dress I wore was kind of vintage and 1930s-looking. The entire evening, I felt as if I had stepped back in time. Really a trip.
Come to think of it, it might be that other theater built in the 30s over in Rice Village that is long gone. But that is a minor discrepancy, right?
