I have covered every station but one on a single trip on the E train. by cranberrygoddess
Going from a concert at the world financial centre (near the WTC stop) to the airport, only to find out my friend missed her flight and I had to go back to court square.
The A train I associate with me good friend in Inwood, as well as the dude who does break-dancing on the train.
The transfer from the E to the A that I do at 42nd I like because of the old guy who plays carribbean fiddle, and gets you to have a go and teaches you how to play.
Also the natural history museum.
Pluses: E goes very express in queens to the airport, but sucks when it’s local. ditto with A.
Minuses: When the A goes local, and you are going from Inwood to greenpoint, it makes about an hours difference.
Funny story about the A: my friend in Inwood once fell asleep on the train on his way to college at jay street, and woke up in the far-rockaways, then the bridge went up for a boat to pass underneath so he was there another half an hour, then he had to go back to jay street, and got there about 2-3 hours late. Poor guy :(
