Something for Everybody in Critter Country by russellviii
Critter Country is pretty small. I like visiting here because there’s plenty of shade. It also appeals to a wide range of visitors. For the young there is The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. R9 and I usually try to make one trip (but no more than one trip) to this attraction while we’re there. It’s fairly new, very cute for little children, but exceedingly dull for older folk. The nicest thing about it is the fact that it has a very good air conditioning system.
Another nice thing for the younger children is that there are always characters from Winnie the Pooh there for them to meet. When my children were younger they enjoyed all of the rides at Disneyland, but the thing that they liked best of all was meeting the characters.
Of course the big attraction in Critter Country is Splash Mountain. It’s fun, exciting, and is a great way to cool down on a hot day. The line is often long, often two hours or more during the busiest times. We either go early in the day, get FastPasses, or go as single riders.
I really like the Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes. They’re a lot of fun.
